A Lezzy Update

I am so tempted to start flirting with y'all again. I mean it...you are awesome. You come here and you read and you comment and we chit chat and, in the process, you make me laugh and think. Laughing and thinking are two of my favorite things...along with whiskers on kittens and warm woolen mittens. On top of all of that, you must vote like rabbits do what rabbits are best known for doing because you pushed this little blog into the finals in the Lezzy Awards...in two categories! I'm nominated in the Parenting/Wedding blog category (my promises of booze and live doves must have put me over the top) and I'm also nominated in the Blog of the Year category which is hilarious. Have you ever been at a super formal wedding and the bride's drunk cousin shows up in ripped jeans and flannel and starts burping his congratulations and everyone smiles politely but secretly wonders who invited him? Yeah, being nominated for Blog of the Year makes me feel like that guy.
Anyway, you know what this means, right? It means that I am going to bug you to vote for me some more. Voting starts today and goes through next Wednesday, February 18th, at 11 p.m. EDT. It goes the same as the nominations...you can vote once every 24 hours and, after you vote, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link that you will have to click on to validate your vote. So, start voting and, while you are over there, check out the other nominated blogs. Some of my favorite blogs are nominated and I am honored to be mentioned on the same page with them...LesbianDad, Dorothy Surrenders, Autowin and Grace the Spot, to name a few. There are a lot of good blogs out there and the great thing about all this awards business is discovering new writers. So, what are you waiting for?
