Dispatch from Rural Wisconsin #2
/The day has been filled with jigsaw puzzles and writing and Adele.
In the middle of the day, I forced myself to go for a run. It's deer hunting season so I wore an orange hat and a red jacket so that I wouldn't be mistaken for a deer.
I won't lie--the run was awful. The cold air burned my lungs and I'm not used to running on rolling hills and I tired quickly. It was hard and I was frustrated but there was one moment when I turned a corner and the road straightened out in front of me and the sun came through the woods and I forgot about myself for just a moment. For that one moment, I breathed deeply and reverently. For that one moment, it was worth it.
