For Kicks
/We have been awake since 5:30 a.m. That's when Miguel woke us up so that we could all get ready for the martial arts tournament that didn't start until 8:30 a.m. We just got home and I have about an hour before I have to leave for a beer tasting event but it's NaBloPoMo! So, enjoy the fruits of our children's martial arts labor:
Miguel won 1st place for his nunchuck routine and 1st place for his belt form. He also won 3rd place in both sparring and grappling. We are so proud of him because he practiced really hard for his event. Yay Miguel!
Zeca won 1st place for her basics routine. She won 2nd place in both sparring and grappling. She surprised us and her instructors since she spends most of her class time smiling at spectators. Yay Zeca!
Behind every kid, there is a parent who supports them and I want to thank Luisa for taking both kids to their martial arts classes which means she is at the dojang four days a week.
Now, let's celebrate by going to bed!
