Unexpected

Yesterday, I was on a speedboat in the middle of a lake in Texas and as we hit the waves and the water sprayed and our laughter rose above the sound of the engine, I thought about the ways in which life unfolds so beautifully. 

When I first started blogging in 2006, I never could have imagined that I would meet the incredible people I’ve met and the experiences I would have as a result.  The decision to blog put me on that lake yesterday.

This is something I want to teach my kids: Do things even when you don’t know what may come next and surround yourself with people who make you laugh, who support you and want the best for you.
