Pretty Much the Same

I was searching through the drafts folder on this blog and ran across a post titled "Pretty Much the Same". It was dated 11/16/10 and I had absolutely no recollection of starting it but I'm the only one with access to this blog so I knew that I must have written it. I got kinda excited because I figured I was going to open it up and have access to some random thoughts of mine from a few months ago. I hesitated so that I could savor the moment right before a mission of mental time traveling. I clicked "edit" and it was empty. EMPTY! I was so disappointed. So, I have no idea what I was thinking about on 11/16/10 that was "Pretty Much the Same" though I did blog that day about tan M&M's. This haunts me - what in the hell was "pretty much the same"? That is why I'm turning to you. I'd like you to tell me what I was thinking about. It will be like choosing my own adventure except that it's more choosing my own thoughts and, actually, not at all like that because I'm asking you to choose my thoughts for me. Regardless, it sounds like fun. So, what was "pretty much the same" in November of 2010?

Arse Watch 2011

We just got back from the cabin and it is late so this will have to be short. I am happy to report that me arse is intact despite the fact that I went sledding, skating and skiing. I have conquered the coccyx demons and lived to fight another day. Or maybe I should quit while I'm ahead. My minion did a good job posting in my absence but I didn't give anything to my minion for today. I'm going to bed and regular posting will resume tomorrow. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.

Gone Ice Fishing

I haven't really gone ice fishing. I don't believe in sitting on a frozen body of water in a teeny tiny shed trying to catch fish. I guess I shouldn't say I don't believe in it - I just won't do it...and I'll judge those who do. That sounds so much nicer! I am actually at Oak Lake with friends so I'm probably ice skating, cross-country skiing or sledding right now. Actually, I doubt that I'm sledding because, when we went up to the cabin at this exact time last year, I broke me arse. Remember that? Of course you do because I talked about it for months. Maybe I'm sitting on the couch with a glass of wine and Anna Karenina. Maybe I'm working on a puzzle or losing my patience with the kids. Maybe I'm pelting Luisa with snowballs or cuddling her by the fire. No matter what I'm doing, I'm not doing it from the confines of my home in Minneapolis. I am actually writing this with the hope that my robotic Wordpress minion will post it tomorrow like I requested. I'm not hopeful. Minions are so unreliable. Let me know how my minion does.

Anyway, I am trying my best to enjoy the snow. Really, I am. I hope that you are enjoying whatever miserable weather you may be having. Unless you live in a warm climate, then we are all jealous and are probably secretly wishing you snow. I'll be back on Sunday and I'm hoping that I won't have had any accidents that cause injury. If I do sustain an injury, I'll try to capture it on video. See how much I love you?
